ALOE-VERA HAIR BENEFITS

Keeping up with silky, shiny hair and dry, scaly scalp is really challenging and that is what I've been facing for years. It's depressing as I have used tons of various oils and home remedies to treat my dry scalp, but nothing seemed to be helping. Sometimes when the scalp felt moisturised, hairs looked dry as dead while sometimes hair looks shiny but your scalp seems to be awfully drought, scaling with dead skins and falling as SNOWFALL dandruff which is embarrassing. Nothing seemed to work.

After of my long research on the Internet, I found peoples testimonials and their great experiences with Aloe-vera gel and how it benefited their dry scalp as well as keeping their hair smooth and silky.

Well, good news for me is that I have Aloe vera growing on my backyard, so without any second thought I started using it on my head. Honestly guys, I didn't expect too much as I've been doing this trial and error with many different home remedies on my head for quite a while now. But surprisingly I saw and felt the difference in one wash?!!! How crazy it sounds?! I literally jumped with joy on finally getting the right treatment for my head.

How to apply?

What I basically do is cut a full stem from the plant, then chop it in half. Size of half the stem is like 6 inches long and 2" wide, so it contains a good amount of gel which seems quite sufficient for my small head.

The other half, I freeze for my next use. I cut the aloe vera plant into small cute cubes as shown in the picture, don't peel of the leaf as it contains a Yellowish Gel on the sides of the leaf which is very beneficial for the scalp and we don't want to waste it even a little. Then apply on your scalp by making proper sections. Make sure not to leave any part of your head and double the amount of aloe-vera on the dry areas, it will help preventing the scaling of the dead skin that causes dandruff which ultimately leads to HAIR FALL!!

When you are done covering your entire head/scalp with aloe-vera; cover or wrap your hair with a shower cap/ plastic foil or plastic, whatever is available. Let it stay there as long as you can keep it on. Longer the duration, the better it would be. I usually keep it overnight and wash in the morning. You can do as per your convenience; there are no hard and fast rules.

Side effects??

I've been using it for a year, there's no side effect. It's 100% natural and simply the best for nourishing and conditioning your scalp and hair.

Are you a victim of hair fall and dandruff??

Well, don't waste time, Get Aloe-vera and treat it. You'll love the difference it will make.
Wash your head everyday to keep your scalp clean from any dead skin and dandruff. Use Aloe-vera once a week at least for good results. Use a mild and moisturising shampoo, I use T/Gel shampoo and T/Sal conditioner from Neutrogena.

My hair?

My hair and scalp was naturally dry. Now it's smooth, shiny and silky. But recently I faced heavy hair fall because of my post pregnancy. I'm religiously using Aloe-vera gel every other three days to regain my hair loss. Masha Allah, its as usual, working WONDERS for me!!

The Body Shop Oil- Free Balancing Foundation Review

Product Description:

Bright, long lasting and moisturizing foundation with SPF 15 gives a light to medium coverage for a perfectly even complexion. Dermatologically tested. With Community Fair Trade Marula Oil, does not contain Ethanol.

My Opinion:

In my opinion this foundation gives medium to full coverage and has a matte finish. I don't feel it's heavy on my skin, it is moisturized but not oily. It looks very natural and lasts up to 7-8 hours. It has thick and creamy formulation which can be difficult in blending if you're not familiar with different kinds of foundation. As per my experience, it can easily cover and conceal any discoloration or blemishes. This is best used with any tapered brush (I use flat kabuki brush) or with damp beauty blender.

This Foundation comes with eight different shades. It is very light in weight, comes with a pump, packaging is sleek and made of plastic. It contains 30 ml of foundation.

Personally I love this foundation for its special ingredient that is "Marula Oil", whether you have oily or dry skin, it benefits all types of skin, it moisturizes, nourishes and revitalizes your skin without leaving a greasy feel. And if you have dry skin like mine and are fond of matte foundation yet glowy?! I would highly recommend this product!

Here's a picture of me wearing this foundation. I give this product 4/5 !! Hope you enjoyed this review, feel free to ask anything in the comment box below!!

Disappointing eye-makeup brushes

The following review on this product is completely based on my own experience and opinions and that I feel have been disappointing. It didn't work the way I expected them to. I am by no means saying everyone should avoid purchasing these products, but here are my views:

Eyeshadow Eye Brush :

I didn't like this brush at all, and not worth purchasing in my opinion why?? below are the reasons:
  • hard bristles
  • very harsh and scratchy on the lids.
  • brush head easily separates from the handle.
Even if you have accidently purchased this brush and feel the same way I do, you can still use it for concealer or any liquid/cream formula. It won't hurt or damage your skin plus it's the only way you can use this product.

Smokey Eye Brush:

This should be renamed as a 'heart breaking brush' as it look so beautiful, with a perfectly cute packaging and bristles. Unfortunately it feels very harsh on the crease and is pointy. However, this one is sturdier as compared to the Eyeshadow Eye Brush as it didn't separate from it's body.

Eyeliner Brush:

As you can see in the picture above, bristles are missing; it happened after one wash and I don't exactly know if the bristles came off or the hole was too big for the bristles. Secondly, the bristles of this brush are too soft to draw a liner. I had a hard time making my eyeliner. It didn't serve its purpose for me; used it twice or thrice only.

Bourjois Kabuki Brush:

I bought it a year ago for 600+ PKR, I really love its packaging and the bulkiness of the brush but it does not have the softness of a synthetic hair, it feels so scratchy on the skin especially on the dry parts of my face, it literally hurts! I also noticed when its newly washed, it's not scratchy but after a couple of more applications it becomes extremely harsh, rough and uncomfortable.
I'm not using this brush anymore. I have just displayed it on my makeup dresser. Overall, in my opinion this brush is a nothing but a heart breaking story. 1/10

This is it guys, hope you find this post helpful and again I'm not bashing any company here. I just feel it's necessary sharing this things to all of you.

Till then see you on my next post IA.

AS PER MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BRUSHES

These brushes were given to me as present, and the reason why I'm reviewing about it is because I'm impressed with its quality. The handle is nice and sturdy and the bristles are as soft as velvet. It is not at all harsh on skin. I wash it every week and I don't see single hair coming off. I love the color it's very girlish pink and the best part is that every single brush is labeled with its name and purpose so if you're a beginner this set is advisable for you as it’s unlike other brushes that has only codes marked on it.

The only drawback with this is the blending brush, although it's fluffy, I really think that the bristles should have a round shape instead of flat, it does blend but the round ones works even better.

Over all, I'm happy and satisfied with this brush set as you've seen me playing with these babies in my videos, I just love how soft it is, secondly, it's budget friendly so go ahead grab it if you want. I'll review more of these types of makeup brushes so you girls will know that good quality brushes are also available at drugstore and works just like the high end makeup brushes.

Hope this review helped you, let me know if you want me to do a video on it exclusively I'll happily give a demo. I love what I do and bringing awareness, sharing beauty tips is what I like to do.

Battle Of Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse

PRODUCT CLAIMS

LIGHT PERFECTING RADIANCE FOUNDATION SPF 18. Traceless Coverage foundation with Advanced Smart- Tone technology for perfectly flawless skin under any light. Enhanced with Sapphire Radiance for an illuminating glow. Last all day.

MY OPINION

PROS:
As you can see in the above pictures the glass packaging is impressive, it has a pump which I love !! Foundation bottle with a pump is a plus point for me. It is a water based foundation, the texture is runny which makes it easy to apply with any foundation brush. It looks very natural on skin, it's very important that you get your right shade so you get that flawless natural look. It doesn't feel heavy on skin. Ideally you can use it on daily basis, doesn't really matter because you barely feel it on your skin. The smell of the foundation is typically the same but very light, it doesn't stink. Available at affordable price from any drug store.

CONS:
I don't think it's dewy like it claims to be. I applied a moisturiser before foundation and it still looked dry and blotchy, more like a matte finish and cakey after the translucent powder. It would work it's best with oily skin or normal skin combination. It's definitely a NO for dry skin like mine. It's not waterproof and comes off easily, so mind the tears girls! It also needs a concealer and corrector after the foundation application. It gives light to medium coverage. I see myself giving it away as it didn't suit my skin at all.

PRODUCT CLAIMS
100% Poreless skin. Air whipped liquid provides perfecting coverage for 100% poreless skin. Ideal for normal skin. OIl-free, fragrance free, dermatologists tested, allergy tested, non-comedogenic won't clog pores, safe for sensitive skin.

MY OPINION
PROS:
The foundation builds from medium to high coverage. It gives a beautiful dewy finish even after applying the powder. As swatched above, it beautifully smoothens out the skin and looks more luminous and glowy, I glow whenever I use it and receive many compliments when using this foundation. You may not need any concealer with this because it already gives a good coverage or if needed, you can add little more coat. I have it in Porcelain Ivory light 1, which is a perfect shade for me, and it has 11 other shades. The texture of the foundation is like a whipped cream; I enjoy applying it with my fingers or with a damp beauty blender. For dry skin like mine, always moisturize or prime your skin first; combination to oily skin types may need a water based moisturiser and a nice gel base/primer which will work splendidly with this foundation. Packaging is cute: comes in a glass bottle with a lock pump. Available at affordable price in any drug store.

CONS:
It oxidizes easily on oily skin. Oily skin types may have to use a gel silicone base/primer before applying this foundation.

So for me,
Having a dry skin type, the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse is an excellent purchase and gives 100% airbrush finish, moreover, it stayed longer than I expected. Rimmel Match Perfection may work better with oily skin type.
